What We Believe

At ITC, we honor childhood. We offer a safe and positive learning environment that focuses on the whole child through an emergent curriculum based on the dynamic interests of the children and their families.
 
ITC celebrates the unique contribution of each child to our group.  Children are encouraged to express their own interests and abilities through play, language and artistic exploration. We believe that children construct knowledge based on their experiences and their individual stage of development.  Taking a constructivist approach means providing children with opportunities to experiment with materials and to solve problems as is developmentally appropriate.  Music, art, movement and science are an integral part of the everyday experience for all our groups.
 
We know that children thrive in an environment where we respond to their pursuits and ideas, we meet their everyday needs and they are challenged both educationally and creatively.
